FOMO PRODUCTS INTRODUCES HANDI-FOAM® FIREBLOCK

NORTON, OHIO - January, 2006 – Fomo Products, Inc. is proud to announce the introduction of Handi-Foam® Fireblock to Fomo’s extensive line of innovative products.   Handi-Foam® Fireblock is a sealant which has passed the ICC-ES evaluation for use as a fireblock.  Fomo Products, Inc. has worked closely with the International Code Council and third party independent fire testing labs in order to evaluate and approve the use of Handi-Foam® Fireblock for specific fireblock applications.  Only those foam manufacturers that carry an ICC-ES evaluation report, assuring that the product has been evaluated by the International Code Council, should be considered as a suitable fireblocking material. Handi-Foam® Fireblock is colored orange to make it easily identifiable, as a fireblock, by code inspectors.  

Handi-Foam® Fireblock has several of the same valued properties of Handi-Foam® sealants, so Fireblock can still be used to seal, fill, bond and stop air infiltration in addition to being used as a fireblocking material. Handi-Foam® Fireblock offers several major advantages over other fireblock materials, including caulk, fiberglass, mineral wool, particle board, and gypsum board.  While these traditional methods are typically very time consuming, tedious and difficult to apply, Handi-Foam® Fireblock is simple, fast and efficient – simply point and shoot!
