Handi-Foam® E84 Passes NFPA 286 Testing
Fomo Products' Handi-Foam® E84 Class 1 low pressure spray polyurethane foam insulation has been approved for use as an air infiltration barrier in building of all types of construction. Handi-Foam E84 SPF was tested in accordance with NFPA 286 in a simulated end-use configuration, meaning that the product can be left exposed in commercial roof / wall junctures.
Handi-Foam E84 was found to be in compliance with chapter 26 of the 2009 International Building Code, and section R316 of the 2009 edition of the International Residential Code. Third party testing indicates that Handi-Foam E84 Class 1 spray polyurethane foam can be used in Types I, II, III, IV and V construction without a thermal or ignition barrier. The use is limited to a maximum depth of 2 incues and height of 6 inches. Handi-Foam E84 should not be used in lieu of a fire-resistance rated joint, should one be required.
